First encounter with gold
In the meanwhile, the master’s wife was about to “lay gold foil” on the statue of the god. Being as curious as we were, we immediately gathered around and saw the master’s wife taking out a large stack of gold foil and quickly laying the gold foil on the statue with a pen. Each piece of gold foil became the new skin of the statue. Gold foils looked smooth and shiny, and these gold foils were all valuable pure gold, which was really an eye-opener for us! However, when we heard that the gold foils were pure gold, we began to lose composure. Master A-fa gave us a piece of gold foil, and everyone immediately became excited and rushed to see the gold. Not only did we touch the gold, but we also tried to eat the gold foil. The taste of true gold in our mouths was really unforgettable!
